On Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 8:50 p.m., police responded to a call for a pedestrian struck in the Lake Shore Boulevard West and Dowling Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- a 18-year-man was on a float in the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto Grand Parade
- the man fell from the float and was hit by the float
The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
