Two women wanted in robbery investigation, Security camera video and images released

The Toronto Police Service request the public's assistance identifying two women as part of a robbery investigation.

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Hadrian Drive and Chalfont Road area.

It is reported that:

- a 17-year-old girl was walking in the area

- two women approached her in a black car

- one suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim's belongings

- the victim complied and the suspects fled in the car

Security camera video and images have been released.

Police believe the suspects may be armed, violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Public Safety Alert, Commercial Break and Enters in 42 Division

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in an ongoing Break and Enter investigation.

It was reported that:

- on Friday, October 18, 2019, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., a man gained access to a restaurant located in the Milner Avenue and McCowan Road area by forcing the front door

- the cash register was targeted and a quantity of cash was obtained by the suspect


It is further reported that:

- on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, between 3 a.m and 4 a.m., a man gained access to four separate restaurant kiosks inside a plaza in the Midland Avenue and Steeles Avenue East area

- the front entrances to the four restaurants were forced, the cash registers were targeted, and a quantity of cash was taken from each unit

- the same suspect also attended another restaurant, in the same area, and forced the front door open

- the cash register area was targeted, however nothing was taken from this location

In all incidents the man was described as white, 30-40, wearing dark clothing, a two-toned ‘varsity style’ jacket with a hood, gloves, and was also riding a mountain-style bicycle.

Members of the public are being asked to report any suspicious person(s) seen in or around commercial areas during non-business hours. Owners/operators of commercial companies are being reminded to secure all valuables within the premises or move all valuables off site during non-business hours.

Badri Persaud, 64, was last seen on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 5 p.m., in the Pharmacy Avenue and Ellesmere Road area.

He is described as 5'2", with short black hair, and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, black sweatshirt, black pants, and was not wearing a coat.

Man faces child pornography charges, Michael Floros, 49

As part of an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material, Toronto Police Service’s Child Exploitation Section executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the Martin Grove Rd and Rexdale Blvd area of Toronto on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

It is alleged that:

- A man accessed, possessed, and made available, child sexual abuse material


Michael Floros, 49, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

- Possession Child Pornography x 2
- Access Child Pornography x 2
- Make Available Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear at court on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2201 Finch Ave W, courtroom 204.

Police request assistance with a sexual assault investigation, Security camera images of man released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in a identifying a man as part of a sexual assault investigation.

On Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 5:15 p.m., a man was on a subway train, southbound on the Yonge Street line near College Street.

It is reported that:

- the man sexually assaulted a woman passenger

- the man exited the subway at the College Street station

He is described as 35 to 45, 6'3" to 6'5", with black hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a white baseball hat, and glasses.

2019 Greek Ohi Day Parade, Sunday, October 27, 2019, 1 p.m., Danforth Avenue from Donlands Avenue to Broadview Avenue

On Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 1 p.m., the 2019 Greek Ohi Day Parade will take place.

Road closures will be in place for most of the day.

The parade will follow the route of:

- northbound Euston Avenue from Donlands Avenue (full closure)
- westbound Danforth Avenue from Donlands Avenue to Broadview Avenue (full closure)

The parade will end at Broadview Avenue at approximately 3 p.m.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation. The TTC may experience delays. The parade will take place regardless of weather conditions.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of indecent exposures that have occurred in the area Jane Street and Bloor Street West.

It is reported:

- Between August 2019 and October 19, 2019, between the hours of 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., a man exposed himself

The man is described as white, aged 30-50, 6'0"-6'4", with a thin build and light hair. He was wearing dark shorts, dark grey hoodie, and black shoes.

He was seen driving a red four-door hatchback vehicle.

Arrest in kidnapping investigation, Nathan Burke, 26, facing 14 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the media and public aware of a man arrested in a kidnapping investigation, and thank them for their assistance.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, October 24, 2019, a man kidnapped a woman and a 18-month-old child in the Silver Star Boulevard and Midland Avenue area

- all three were located in Brampton

As a result of the investigation Nathan Burke, 26, of Brampton was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Assault
2. Threaten Death
3. Criminal Harassment
4. Two counts of Kidnapping
5. Three counts of Assault
6. Mischief
7. Possession of a Weapon For a Dangerous Purpose
8. Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing
9. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
10. Possess Counterfeit Money

He appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, October 25, 2019, 10 a.m., room 412.

The person identified as Suspect #1 in the news release has been identified as a Young Person.

Her photographs and video have been removed from the previous news release and can no longer be published.

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.

Police are concerned for her safety as she has been diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer’s and is not familiar with her surroundings.
