Judith Sylvester, 54, was last seen on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at approximately 12 p.m., in the High Park Boulevard and Parkside Drive area.

The Toronto Police Service request the public’s assistance locating a missing boy.

Jonathan Carchi Vazques, 14, was last seen on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., in the Scarborough Town Centre area.

He is described as 5’9’’, 220 lbs., with brown eyes, and brown hair. There is no clothing description at this time.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Fail to Remain Personal Injury Collision, Kennedy Road and Danforth Road

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a Fail to Remain collision.

On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at approximately 7:50 p.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision at Kennedy Road and Danforth Road.

It is reported that:

- a woman, 24, was walking southbound at the crosswalk, from the west side of Kennedy Road, crossing Danforth Road

- a minivan or similar vehicle was travelling northbound on Kennedy Road and made a left turn to go westbound on Danforth Road

- the vehicle struck the woman and she was dragged a short distance

- the woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital

- the vehicle continued westbound and fled the scene

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Historical Missing Person Investigation, Yoseph Birhanu-Baynesagn, 24

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Yoseph Birhanu-Baynesagn, 24, left his family’s home in Kitchener, Ontario on Thursday, November 23, 2017, and travelled to Toronto.

On Friday, November 24, 2017, he called a relative, who lives in North York, from a payphone, believed to be at Union Station, and said he was coming over for a visit.

He never showed up at the house.

Waterloo Regional Police Service was contacted on Saturday, December 2, 2017, by family and a missing persons report was filed.

Yoseph has not reached out to any relatives or friends since Friday, November 24, 2018. There are no records to date of him travelling and he does not carry a cell phone. His family and police are concerned for his well-being.

The Toronto Police Service Missing Persons Unit has taken over the investigation.

Sexual Assault Alert, Man Charged, Desire Waffo Tamwo, 37

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, November 4, 2018, the man was tutoring a 12-year-old girl in her residence

- the man sexually assaulted the girl

Members of the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre conducted an investigation.

On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Desire Waffo Tamwo, 37, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:

1. Sexual Assault
2. Sexual Interference with a Person under the Age of 16 Years
3. Invitation to Sexual Touching

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, 2 p.m.

Desire Waffo Tamwo has been employed by Tutor Doctor, a company that provides in-home tutoring services, since November 2016.

Four men arrested for a series of Retail Robberies in the East End

Hold Up investigators would like to make the public aware of arrests made for a series of six retail robberies from Friday, October 26, 2018 and Saturday, November 17, 2018, in the area bound by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Midland Avenue to the east, Ellesmere Road to the south and Victoria Park Avenue to the west.

It is alleged that:

- during the robberies two fully masked men entered stores

- a man pointed a handgun at the victims and ordered them to empty the cash register

- he threatened them if they didn’t comply with his demands

- the second man went behind the counter, placing cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes into his knapsack

- both men fled the scene in a motor vehicle

On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, the Hold Up Squad made four arrests.

Alireza Arabpour, 34, of Richmond Hill was charged with:

1. Six counts of Robbery while armed with a firearm
2. Six counts of Disguise with intent
3. Six counts of Fail to comply with undertaking

Mohammad Andami, 45, of Scarborough was charged with:

1. Six counts of Robbery while armed with a firearm
2. Six counts of Disguise with intent
3. Six counts of Fail to comply with probation
4. Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

Alireza Taherkhani, 52, of North York was charged with:

1. Possession of property obtained by crime under

Morteza Mohammadyar-Kharaghani, 19 of Toronto was charged with:

1. Possession of property obtained by crime under


They are scheduled in appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, November 22, 2018.

Man wanted in Break-and-Enter investigation, Ryan Atkinson, 36

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a man wanted in a Break-and-Enter investigation.

On Thursday, November 22, 2018, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers responded to a call for a break and enter in the Kipling Avenue and Albion Road area.

It is alleged that:

- a man broke into a home in the area

- he forced open a safe

- he stole a variety of handguns and ammunition

- he fled in an unknown vehicle

Ryan Atkinson, 36, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Break and Enter
2. Assault
3. Mischief

He is described as 5'7", 190 lbs., heavy build, shaved head, and clean shaven. He was seen wearing a grey hooded sweater, dark blue jeans, and black runners.

He is believed to be violent, armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Public Safety Alert, Man wanted in Robbery investigation, Parma Court and Victoria Park Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a robbery investigation in the Parma Court and Victoria Park Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- on the Thursday, November 15, 2018 between approximately 8:55 p.m. and 9:35 p.m a woman was sitting in her parked car

- an unknown man knocked on the window of the car

- she rolled down the window, and the man covered her mouth with his hand and attempted to reach for the cell phone she was holding

- he left the area in an unknown direction without the phone

He is described as 21-22, with a dark brown complexion, and was wearing a black winter jacket and a black toque.

Weston Santa Claus Parade, Sunday, November 25, 2018, Road Closures

On Sunday, November 25, 2018, the Weston Village Business Improvement Association will host the 39th annual Weston Santa Claus Parade.

From 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. staging of the parade take place on Weston Road between St. Phillips Road and Church Street. The parade will commence at 2:00 p.m. and proceed southbound on Weston Road to the dispersal area located at Sidney Belsey Crescent and in the parking lot of the Portage Trail School.

The parade is expected to conclude at 4:30 p.m.

Road closures will take place on Weston Road from St. Phillips Road to Jane Street.

Motorist can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation.

TTC service will be adjusted. Visit www.ttc.ca for more information.

The event will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Beaches Santa Claus Parade, Sunday, November 25, 2018, 1 p.m., Road closures

On Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 1 p.m., the 2018 Beaches Santa Claus Parade will talk place.

Road closures will occur for all or part of the day.

The parade route:

- Northbound, Victoria Park Avenue from north of Bracken Avenue, partial closure
- Westbound, Kingston Road from Victoria Park, partial closure
- Northbound, Walter Street, full closure
- Westbound, Lyall Avenue, full closure
- Northbound, Kimberly Avenue, full closure
- Westbound, Swanwick Avenue to Main Street, full closure

The parade will end in the Swanwick Avenue and Main Street area, at approximately 3 p.m.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation. The TTC may experience delays. The parade will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Uber Driver charged in four sexual assault investigations, Senol Komec, 38

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a series of sexual assault investigations.

On Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Blue Jay Way and King Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- a 31-year-old woman had been out with friends

- she ordered an Uber ride home

- she was picked up by a man who was an Uber Driver but not the one assigned to her pick-up request

- she was driven to an area and sexually assaulted

On Saturday, April 18, 2018, at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Bloor Street West and Madison Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a 19-year-old woman was out with friends

- she ordered an Uber to get home

- she was picked up by a man who was an Uber driver but not the driver assigned to her pick-up request

- she was driven to a secluded area and sexually assaulted

- she fought her attacker off and fled

On Monday, July 2, 2018, at 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Lake Shore Road East and Hurontario Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a 36-year-old woman had been at a restaurant

- she was sitting out front of the restaurant when she was approached by a man in a car

- he offered her a ride

- she accepted and was driven to a parking lot and sexually assaulted

- she struggled with the man and fled

On Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Polson Street and Cherry Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a 35-year-old woman was waiting in a designated taxi area

- a man, parked nearby, told her he was an Uber driver

- he offered to help her

- she was driven past her destination and sexually assaulted

- she tried to jump out of the car but was confined

- she was eventually able to make good her escape

Senol Komec, 38, of Vaughan, has been charged with:

1. four counts of Sexual Assault
2. four counts of Forcible Confinement




He appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 501.

Cavalcade of Lights, Saturday, November 24, 2018, Road Closures

On Saturday, November 24, 2018, the City of Toronto will hold the 52nd Annual Cavalcade of Lights. The pre-show starts at 5:45 p.m. There will be live music on the stage from 6:45 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. The event will also include the lighting of City Hall's Christmas Tree at 7:30 p.m., a pyrotechnics show at 8:35 p.m. and public skating throughout the event.

Road closures will take place for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and are as follows:

- Queen Street West from Yonge Street to University Avenue

- Bay Street from Dundas Street West to Richmond Street. Local traffic only from Dundas Street West to Hagerman Street. Sidewalk closed on the west side of Bay Street adjacent to City Hall from Hagerman Street to Albert Street

- James Street local traffic only between Queen Street and Albert Street. Access plan provided for local stakeholders at Bay Street and Hagerman Street. Suspended public street parking

- Albert Street local traffic only between James Street and Bay Street. Access plan provided for local stakeholders at Bay Street and Hagerman Street. Suspended public street parking

-York Street local traffic only between Richmond Street West and Queen Street West. Full closure at Queen Street

- Hagerman Street from Elizabeth Street to Bay Street

- Elizabeth Street full closure between Foster Place and Hagerman Street.
Suspended public street parking

The 501 Queen Street streetcar will divert between Church Street and Spadina Avenue along King Street. The 6 Bus on Bay Street will divert to Yonge Street.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and consider alternate routes.

Aggravated Assault investigation, Trudelle Street and McCowan Road area, Man Wanted, Harry Rajkumar, 46

On Friday, November 23, 2018, at 6 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for an Unknown Trouble at Trudelle Street and McCowan Road area.

Police arrived on scene and located a girl with obvious signs of trauma and a woman with injuries.

It is reported that:

- an altercation occurred at one of the apartment units

- a girl, 16, and a woman, 37, were violently attacked by a man

- he then fled immediately from the scene

Both victims were sent to hospital.

Harry Rajkumar, 46, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Two counts of Assault with a Weapon
2. Two counts of Aggravated Assault
3. Fail to Comply

He is described as 5'11", and 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with a white zip-up jacket. He is believed to be driving a grey 2009 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck with Ontario License Plate AJ 21674.

He is to be treated as armed and dangerous. If located, call 9-1-1 immediately.

She is described as white, 5'6", 130 lbs., with brown hair. She is believed to be wearing a black coat, purple pants, a hospital gown, ear muffs and using a wheelchair.

He is described as 6'4", 220 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes, and a moustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a dark brown winter coat, dark brown pants, and a white and black wool hat.

Jack Carlton, 15, was last seen on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. in the Runnymede Road and Bloor Street West area.

Jack Carlton is described as a white, 5’8”, a slim build with buzzed brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black, blue and grey plaid jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and Timberland boots.

Police are concerned for his safety.
