The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing girl.

Emilie Pointon, 17, was last seen on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at approximately 2:35 p.m., in the Queen Street West/Ossington Avenue area.

She is described as white, 5’5”, thin build, long straight black hair, dark eyes.

She was wearing light-blue jeans, black T-shirt, green flip-flops.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Police seek assistance with robbery investigation, Keele Street/Lawrence Avenue West area, Security camera images of wanted man released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance identifying a man wanted in a robbery investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at approximately 2 p.m., a 76-year-old man was walking out of a grocery store in the Keele Street/Lawrence Avenue West area

- a man approached him from behind, tore open the 76-year-old man's pants pocket, ripping out his wallet

- the man then fled on foot, eastbound on Lawrence Avenue West, east of Keele Street

The man is described as approximately 25-30, approximately 5’10”, thin build, wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo on the front, a white button-up collared shirt, black pants, black-and-white running shoes.

Loaded firearm seized, Willowridge Road, Man, 22, faces six charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest and the seizure of a firearm.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, July 10, 2017, at approximately noon, neighbourhood officers were on Willowridge Road

- the officers observed a man getting out of a car, appearing to be armed

- the officers approached the man to investigate

It is further alleged that:

- the man had a loaded, 9mm Taurus firearm in his waistband

Abdullahi Hashi, 22, of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with:

1) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
2) Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession in Unauthorized
3) Possession of a Loaded Prohibited/Restricted Firearm
4) Careless Use of a Firearm
5) Fail to Comply with Probation
6) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, 10 a.m., courtroom 206.

Assistance sought with "smash-and-grab" Theft investigation, Church Street and Shuter Street area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with a "smash-and-grab" Theft investigation.

It is reported that:

- at approximately 2:30 p.m., on Friday, June 23, 2017, a man entered a pawn shop in the Church Street and Shuter Street area

- he walked up to the jewelry display counter, removed a hammer from his jacket pocket, and smashed the glass display case

- he then reached into the broken display case, grabbed a quantity of expensive jewelry, and was last seen fleeing westbound on Shuter Street

- the value of the stolen jewelry is approximately $20,000

The man is described as black, 18-19, 5’6”, thin build, wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat, black jacket, light-blue jeans, black shoes with a large white Nike "swoosh" logo on the toe area.

Assistance sought with commercial Break-and-Enter investigation, Yonge Street/Lawrence Avenue area Chance Jeanson, 44, wanted, Security camera image now available

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a man wanted in a commercial Break-and-Enter investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, May 22, 2017, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a man entered a pub in the Yonge Street/Lawrence Avenue area

- although the pub was open for business, he entered a locked and restricted area

- once inside, he stole cash, then fled the scene

- the man has been identified as Chance Jeanson, 44, of Barrie.

He is wanted for:

1) Break-and-Enter

He is described as 5'8", medium build, brown eyes, short brown hair.

A security camera image is now available.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at approximately 1:40 a.m., a 22-year-old woman was walking in the Lake Shore Boulevard West area near the Long Branch bus loop after exiting a bus

- a man approached her from behind on a bicycle and sexually assaulted her

- he fled the scene, westbound, along Lake Shore Boulevard West

He is described as white, late 30s to early 40s, 5'7", thin build, light complexion, bald head, clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded shirt and dark pants.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 3:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Weston Road, south of Eglinton Avenue West.

It is reported that:

- a man, 86, was attempting to cross Weston Road, south of Eglinton Avenue West

- a woman, 25, was driving a 2009 Hyundai, southbound on Weston Road, south of Eglinton Avenue West

- as the man attempted to cross the road, he was struck by the vehicle

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Public Safety Alert, Please be aware of wallet and purse Thefts, and debit card Fraud

The Toronto Police Service would like to encourage the public to be aware of a recent increase in wallet and purse thefts.

It is reported that:

- wallets and purses are being stolen from people while they are distracted

- the incidents have occurred while victims were eating at restaurants and food courts

- suspects have taken advantage of victims who either hang their purses over chairs, or left wallets in the pocket of jackets which were hanging on the back of chairs

- the credit/debit cards of the victims are then immediately used to make purchases using the tap feature and, in some cases, the security access codes are changed, permitting the suspects to make withdrawals and further purchases

- some victims have lost thousands of dollars

Police are reminding the public to keep their valuable belongings in view at all times, making sure your property is always visible. Protect your security access codes while making purchases.

Man, 59, faces four charges in Child Exploitation Investigation, Finch Avenue East and Bayview Avenue area

On Wednesday, July 12, 2017, as part of an investigation into the uploading of child sex abuse images, members of the Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Section executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the Finch Avenue East and Bayview Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a man accessed and possessed child sexual abuse material

As a result of evidence gathered by police, Richard Goodland, 59, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) three counts of Possession of Child Pornography
2) Access Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 2 p.m., room 306.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, July 3, 2017, at approximately 3 a.m., a cab driver, operating an orange- and-green van, picked up a 28-year-old woman in the Bloor Street West and Runnymede Road area

- he drove the woman to her destination where he sexually assaulted her

He is described as brown, approximately 40, slim build, short brown hair greying around the temples.

The Toronto Police Service will be hosting the Bahamas National Children's Choir.

The choir, consisting of 33 children, ranging from seven to 16, will be performing throughout Canada.

On Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 11 a.m., in front of headquarters, 40 College Street, they will perform. It is a pleasure for the Toronto Police Service to host this event for the City of Toronto.

The purpose of the choir is to enable children to identify with their culture, cultivate their talents and provide opportunities for their individual development.

The Bahamas National Children's Choir has represented the Bahamas at numerous festivals and international choral competitions .

The Bahamas National Children's Choir continues to mould young lives by instilling positive values, excellence in choral artistry and the promotion of Bahamian culture.

ISKCON parade, Saturday, July 15, 2017, 11 a.m.

On Saturday, July 15, 2017, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will hold its 45th annual religious and cultural parade.

At 11 a.m., the parade will start at Asquith Avenue, then travel southbound on Yonge Street to Queen's Quay, eastbound to Lower Sherbourne Street, then northbound into Sherbourne Common, where participants will disperse.

Traffic in the area will be interrupted to accommodate the parade. Motorists in the area can expect delays and are advised to consider alternate routes.

This event will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Dorothy Lambert, 89, and Susan Lambert, 49, were last seen on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 10 a.m., in the Highway 401/Kipling Avenue area.

Dorothy Lambert is described as 5’3”, 108 lbs., medium-length grey hair, wearing a multi-coloured shirt, beige pants.

Susan Lambert is described as 4’10”, 115 lbs., medium-length brown hair.

Dorothy was driving Susan in a black 2007 Toyota Avalon.

Police are concerned for their safety.
