Mischief investigation, St George subway station, Update, Security camera video released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with an ongoing Mischief investigation.

On Friday, April 7, 2017, at 4:29 p.m., two men were seen on the southbound platform of St. George subway station.

The suspect is described as 5’7"-5’9", 22-26, average build, long, wavy brown hair, a thin beard, wearing all-black clothing, a black toque, and a large black knapsack with large silver padlock on the rear.

Security camera video has been released.

Police request assistance with shooting investigation, Chester Le Boulevard area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with a shooting investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at approximately 6 p.m., police were called to the Chester Le Boulevard area for a shooting

- officers located two adult male victims

- both sustained gunshot wounds and were transferred to a trauma centre

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.

Missing woman, Queen Street East and Leslie Street area, Mui Ly, 92

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing woman.

Mui Ly, 92, was last seen on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 8 a.m., in the Queen Street East and Leslie Street area.

She is described as 5'4", approximately 125 lbs, shoulder-length grey hair. She was last seen wearing a winter jacket, black-and-red sweater, dark-green pants, and black boots. She speaks Cantonese and very limited English.

Missing woman located, Queen Street East and Leslie Street area, Mui Ly, 92

Assistance sought with Assault Causing Bodily Harm investigation, Bloor Street East and Church Street area, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with an Assault Causing Bodily Harm investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., a man approached a 55-year-old man in the bathroom vestibule area of a restaurant in the Bloor Street East and Church Street area

- both men became involved in a heated argument

- the 55-year-old man was assaulted

- the other man fled eastbound on Bloor Street East

The man is described as approximately 40, 6', heavy build, beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a white towel between his head and the hat, a black bomber jacket, a black sweater with hood, baggy blue jeans, grey shoes with white soles, carrying a dark backpack. The man appeared to walk with a slow, uneven gait.

Assistance sought with Mischief investigation, College Street and Dufferin Street area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with a Mischief investigation.

It is reported that:

- between Tuesday, April 11, 2017, and Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 8:30 a.m., property was damaged by spray paint in the College Street and Dufferin Street area

- officers were called on Thursday, April 13, 2017, to investigate the damage

- further investigation of the area revealed additional graffiti

- on Friday, April 14, 2017, officers returned to the area and located additional areas with graffiti.

A total of five different properties with graffiti were located. The graffiti appears to be anti-LGBTQ.

Investigators are asking area residents to report any suspicious behaviour in the area.

Leanne Cail, 15, was last seen on Friday, April 14, 2017, at approximately 8 p.m., in the Morningside Avenue and Danzig Street area.

She is described as 5"7', 130 lbs., medium build, brown hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green army bomber jacket, blue jeans, and white Nike shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Sexual Assault Alert, Gateway Boulevard and Grenoble Drive area

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an allegation of Sexual Assault.

On Saturday, April 15, 2017, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was walking in the Gateway Boulevard and Grenoble Drive area.

It is reported that:

- a man approached the 20-year-old woman from behind

- he sexually assaulted her

- she then confronted him and a struggle ensued

- she was able to escape his hold and fled the area

The man is described as in his 20s, 5'6"-5'9", 160-180 lbs., unshaven, with dirty-blonde hair. He was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt or sweater with a white pattern.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing girl.

Signs of Glory Kabamba, 10, was last seen on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at approximately 8 p.m., near Islington Avenue and St. Andrews Boulevard.

She is described as approximately 5', slim build, long hair in tight braids. She was last seen wearing a yellow-and-green sweater, white jacket, purple pants, and black-and-purple running shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Homicide #15/2017, Chester Le Boulevard

On Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 8:02 a.m., police were called to Chester Le Boulevard for a see-ambulance call.

Emergency personnel arrived and found a man with apparent injuries. He was pronounced at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, April 17, 2017.

The man's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

On Friday, November 18, 2016, at 6:09 p.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Eglinton Avenue East and Sloane Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- an SUV stopped at the traffic light

- another SUV pulled up alongside and fired shots into the first SUV

A 25-year-old man was brought to an area hospital, a short time later, with gunshot wounds.

He succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

He has been identified as Adrian Thomas, 25, of Toronto.

On Sunday, April 16, 2017, Homicide investigators announced they have a suspect vehicle. It is a black 2009 Toyota Camry.

Investigators have also released a security camera image of a vehicle believed to be the suspect vehicle. This image was captured on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 5:29 p.m., at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East. The licence plate in the image has been deliberately obscured.

Investigators are requesting anyone who has ever been in this vehicle to contact TPS Homicide.

Investigators are also seeking the assistance of anyone who may have seen this vehicle on November 18, 2016, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the Eglinton Avenue East and Lebovic Avenue area.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at approximately 4 a.m., a 27-year-old woman was walking alone on Dowling Avenue, south of Queen Street West

- a man, who had concealed his face, approached the woman from behind

- the man then assaulted her

- the woman was able to escape from the man

The man is described as 5'8", 140 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie with white on the front, black jeans and black shoes.

On Sunday, April 16, 2017, at 8 a.m., police received a call for a fire at St. John the Evangelist Church at 49 George Street.

It is alleged that:

- the man has been identified as Marc Porlier, 43, of no fixed address.

He is known to frequent the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue area, as well as the Weston Road and Jane Street area.

If this man is seen, please contact police.

Suspicious fire, St. John the Evangelist Church, 49 George Street, Update, Marc Porlier, 43, arrested

On Sunday, April 16, 2017, at 8 a.m., police received a call for a fire at St. John the Evangelist Church at 49 George Street.

On Monday, April 17, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Marc Porlier, 43, of no fixed address, was arrested by the OPP Huntsville Detachment.

He has been charged with:

1) Arson
2) Mischief over $5000

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 10 a.m., room 206.

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance with this arrest.

The TPS would also like to thank the Ontario Provincial Police for locating and coordinating the arrest.
