On Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., in the media gallery at headquarters, Superintendent Bryce Evans will update the media on recent marijuana dispensary robberies and the violence associated with them.

Bobbie McMurrich, Victim Services Toronto Associate Executive Director, and Acting Inspector Steve Watts, Toronto Drug Squad, will also attend the news conference.

The news conference will be available on the TOC and will be live-streamed.

Kai "Selena" Yang, 18, was last seen on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in the Sheppard Avenue West and Allen Road area.

She is described as Asian, 5'4", medium build, long black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket and dark-green pants.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Homicide #2/2017, Islington Ave and Milady Road area

On Monday, January 23, 2017, at 12:50 a.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Islington Avenue and Milady Road area.

It is reported that:

- police arrived at the scene and located a man in medical distress

- the man was taken by emergency run to hospital were he succumbed to his injuries

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public's assistance locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as result of his alleged Breach of Parole.

Eamonn Patrick Copeland (also known as Darren Connelly and Patrick Williams), 32, is described as 5'11", 192 lbs., red hair and brown eyes.

He is serving a three-year sentence for Weapons Trafficking, Possession Of A Firearm and Trafficking In Narcotics.

He is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area.

Tyler Yanaky, 13, was last seen on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at 2 p.m., in the Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.

He is described as 5'8", thin build, with shoulder-length, black, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, jeans or black track pants, red-and-black shoes, and a stud in his left ear. He was also carrying a grey backpack.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Assistance sought with Robbery investigation, Yonge Street/Dundas Street, Security camera images of five suspects released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with a Robbery investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at approximately 9:55 p.m., a man was sitting in his parked vehicle in the Yonge Street/Dundas Street area

- one man, of a group of five, opened, and sat in, the parked vehicle

- as the driver pushed the man out of the vehicle, the man displayed a gun while three other men assaulted and robbed the driver of money before fleeing

- the fifth stood as look-out and fled with the group

Security camera images of the five men are now released.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Break-and-Enter investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, January 20, 2017, a 28-year-old man's apartment was broken into in the St. Dennis Drive and Don Valley Parkway area

- jewelry, clothing and cash were taken from the man's apartment

Police have obtained security camera footage of three men and two women and the vehicle reportedly involved in the Break-and-Enter.

Kevin Yau, 18, was last seen on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 7 a.m., in the Coxwell Avenue/Danforth Avenue area.

He is described as Asian, approximately 5'9", with unkempt black hair with gold streaks and brown eyes. He was wearing a dark-brown, three-quarter-length jacket, green-and-black basketball shorts with black leggings under, and black-and-green hightop shoes.

Man, 46, charged in Parking Enforcement Officer Assault investigation, Armoury Street, near Chestnut Street

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, January 20, 2016, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) was working in 52 Division

- the PEO placed a ticket on the windshield of a car parked on Armoury Street, near Chestnut Street that was displaying an expired Accessible Parking Permit

- as the PEO continued checking cars for violations, a man approached the officer and questioned the parking ticket he received

- the PEO asked to inspect the Accessible Parking Permit and subsequently retained it for investigation, as the permit was expired

- the man then exited his vehicle and began cursing at the officer and demanded the return of the permit

- the man assaulted the officer in an attempt to retrieve the expired Accessible Parking Permit

Ibrahim Khaissali, 46, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Assault Peace Officer

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, 11 a.m., room 111.

Boy, 15, arrested in Assault Cause Bodily Harm investigation, Fordwich Crescent and Islington Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in an Assault Causing Bodily Harm investigation.

On Monday, January 23, 2017, at 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the Fordwich Crescent and Islington Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy became involved in an altercation

- the 15-year-old boy produced a knife and stabbed the 17-year-old boy multiple times

- the 15-year-old boy fled

- the 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries

The same day, within hours, the 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Assault Causing Bodily Harm

He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 10 a.m., room 204.

The boy, 15, cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the members of the public who provided assistance to police during the course of this investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, January 20, 2017, a 28-year-old man's apartment was broken into in the St. Dennis Drive and Don Valley Parkway area

On Tuesday, January 24, 2017, the women were identified. Female #1 is a Young Person.

Please refer to Section 110, Subsection 1, of the YCJA:

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.

Police are requesting assistance identifying the three men and the vehicle reportedly involved in the Break-and-Enter.
