Danilo Agaton surrendered to the Toronto Police Service on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 and was charged with:

1. Fail to Comply with Probation
2. Theft Under

He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, room 206.

Lost medication, Bloor Street West and The West Mall

The Toronto Police Service would like to alert the public to lost medication.

On Thursday, February 11, 2016, it was reported to police that a quantity of narcotics could not be located at a nursing home in the Bloor Street West and The West Mall area

On Sunday, November 1, 2015, the narcotics, 28 tablets of “Staytex,” a morphine-based medication, were deposited into a secure container within a secure office inside the facility. The container is emptied every few months and the contents are destroyed. When the container was emptied on the reported date, the Staytex tablets could not be accounted for. It is possible, but not known, if the narcotics were accidently put in another container.

Morphine can be harmful or potentially fatal, if ingested, either alone or with other narcotics.

Police are concerned for the safety of persons in possession of these narcotics.

Public Safety Alert, Kijiji iPhone sale scam, Gyimah Andrews Boateng, 21, facing six charges, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, January 17, 2016, a 20-year-old man met with a man in the Islington Avenue and Dixon Road area

- a cash transaction was made for what was believed to be an iPhone 6 in a sealed box

- the 20-year-old man later opened the sealed box which contained rice and no iPhone 6

It is further alleged that:

- on Saturday, February 6, 2016, a 27-year-old man met with a man in the Albion Road and Kipling Avenue area

- a cash transaction was made for what was believed to be an iPhone 6 in a sealed box

- the 27-year-old man later opened the sealed box which contained rice and no iPhone 6

On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, Gyimah Andrews Boateng, 21, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with:

1) two counts of Fraud Under $5,000
2) two counts of False Pretence Under $5,000
3) two counts of Breach of Court Order

He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 10 a.m., room 206.

A photograph of Gyimah Andrews Boateng, 21, has been released.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Missing man, Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area, Thomas Dunlop, 47

Police are seeking assistance locating a missing man.

Thomas Dunlop was last seen Friday, February 12, 2016, at approximately 3:15 p.m., in the Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area.

He is described as 5’11”, approximately 180 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes and a black beard. He was last seen wearing a blue winter coat and blue jeans. He has numerous tattoos all over his body.

Police are concerned for his welfare. If he is located, please call 9-1-1 immediately.

Aldiyar Izgordo, 17, was last seen on Friday, February 12, 2016, at approximately 8 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Bellwoods Avenue area.

He is described as 6’3”, slim build with puffy, short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a grey sweater, blue jeans and black-and-white Nike running shoes.

She is described as 5’3", 100 lbs., skinny, brown/red braided hair to waist and hazel eyes, possibly wearing black waist-length winter jacket with fur-trimmed hood, white high-top Nike Air Force 1 runners.

He is described as 5’7-5’8, medium build, 140-150 lbs, brown eyes, short dark hair. He may be wearing a black bomber-style jacket with white dots and a pair of all-black Jordans shoes.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 4:30 a.m., a quantity of the drugs Fentanyl and Hydromorphone was stolen in the Dawes Road and Secord Avenue area.

The pills and patches could be harmful/fatal if ingested or applied, especially to children.

He is described as 5'10", medium build, 170 lbs., with short brown-and-grey collar-length hair, brown-and-grey beard and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, brown jacket, hospital pants and running shoes. He walks with a visible limp.

Sydney Sopher, 68, charged in Sexual Assault investigation, Police believe there may be other victims

On Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 8 p.m., officers responded to a call for a Sexual Assault in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a man posted an ad on Kijiji, looking for the services of a part-time cleaning lady

- a 23-year-old woman attended his office for an interview

- during the interview, he made inappropriate comments to her

- he then sexually assaulted her

- she immediately contacted police

On Sunday, February 14, 2016, Sydney Sopher, 68, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, March 17, 2016, 1 p.m., room 306.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Fatal collision #11/2016, Finch Avenue West at Tobermory Drive

On Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 10:18 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Finch Avenue West at Tobermory Drive .

− a 78-year-old man was driving a 2011 Mitsubishi, westbound, on Finch Avenue West

− a 72-year-old woman was attempting to cross Finch Avenue West at Tobermory Drive

− the vehicle struck the woman

The 72-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Fatal collision #12/2016, Wedgewood Drive at Tobruk Crescent

On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 9:54 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Wedgewood Drive at Tobruk Crescent.

− a 48-year-old man was driving a 2006 Honda Accord, westbound on Wedgewood Drive

− an 84-year-old man was walking on the south sidewalk of Wedgewood Drive

− for reasons not yet determined, the driver lost control of the vehicle and mounted the south curb of Wedgewood Drive, striking the pedestrian

The 84-year-old man was taken to hospital. On Saturday, February 13, 2016, he succumbed to his injuries.

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, outside Toronto Police Service Traffic Services, 9 Hanna Avenue, between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., the Toronto Police Service will launch "That Text or Call Could End It All," safety campaign.

This safety campaign will begin on Monday, February 15, 2016, and conclude on Sunday, February 21, 2016.

This one-week initiative will highlight all dangerous activities associated with drivers who talk, text, type, dial or email using hand-held communication and entertainment devices. This campaign will incorporate the use both the stealth and fully marked police vehicles.

All police officers will be paying special attention to those drivers who choose to drive while distracted. Distracted driving is any action that a driver engages in that takes their focus away from the safe operation of their vehicle which includes, but is not limited to, the use of hand-held communication and entertainment devices. Distracted drivers are a safety risk to themselves and other road-users. The Toronto Police Service is committed to ensuring the safety of everyone using the roads in and around our city.

The use of hand-held communication and entertainment devices while driving is known to distract drivers from driving safely. Legislation is in place which has created specific offences for this driving behaviour.

Since 2011 the Toronto Police Service has laid over 95,000 charges for offences related to distracted driving.

Lisa Hochreiter, 41, was last seen on Monday, February 15, 2016, at 1130 a.m., in the York Mills Road and Parkwoods Village Drive area.

She is described as white, 5’7", short brown hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black zip-up jacket with a fur hood, a horizontal striped brown-and-white shirt, and black pants.

She may also be travelling in a blue 2005 Chrysler 300.

Police seek assistance with shooting investigation, Manitoba Drive area, within CNE grounds, Security camera images of suspect released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a shooting investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, February 15, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a man armed with a gun shot a man, 25, three times on Manitoba Drive , within the CNE grounds

- the suspect is described as black, dark complexion, 20-25, medium build, 5’7”-5’8”, short black hair, wearing a black, shiny, puffy jacket, dark jeans, black-and-red shoes with a red shirt and gold chains.

This man should be considered armed and dangerous.

Security camera images have been released.
