Have you had contact with a police officer wearing a body-worn camera? We need your feedback

We need your help to evaluate body-worn cameras.

In May 2015, the Toronto Police Service began a pilot project to evaluate the use of body-worn cameras. Approximately 100 frontline police officers are currently wearing the cameras while performing their regular duties. The pilot project is scheduled to conclude in March 2016.

As part of the evaluation of this pilot project, the Service is asking for feedback from community members who have interacted with officers wearing body-worn cameras. Having experienced the use of body-worn cameras, firsthand, this input will provide a valuable perspective.

Until the conclusion of the pilot project in March 2016, survey packages will be mailed to randomly selected community members who have had contact with an officer wearing a body-worn camera. The survey package will include a one-page survey and a business reply envelope.

The feedback received through these surveys will assist the Service greatly in the evaluation process.
