Missing Woman, Palmerston Avenue and College Street area, Karen Gayle Kitchen, 78

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Karen Gayle Kitchen, 78, was last seen on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 7:50 p.m., in the Palmerston Avenue and College Street area.

She is described as 5'3", 120 lbs, with a medium build, short white hair and brown eyes.

She was wearing red framed glasses, and was carrying a black and grey shoulder bag with the words "Pax Christi".

Police are concerned for her safety.

Personal Injury Collision #8/2021, Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue

On Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:19 p.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision between two motor vehicles at Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a vehicle driving westbound on Kingston Road collided with a eastbound vehicle attempting to make a left turn to travel northbound on Morningside Avenue

- as a result of the collision, both drivers were taken to a local trauma centre

- a 54-year-old female suffered serious non-life threatening injuries

- a 39-year-old male suffered life threatening injuries

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Sexual Assault Alert, Suspect Sought, 11 Division, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Friday, April 30, 2021, at 1:03 a.m., officers responded to a call in the Dufferin Street and Bloor Street West area.

It was reported that:

- a man was seated on the bus near a woman

- the woman exited the bus at Dufferin Station

- the man approached the woman from behind, and sexually assaulted her

- the man fled westbound through an alley

The man is described as approximately 40-years-old, wearing a red jacket, grey hooded sweater, dark pants, black face mask, dark blue toque with blue and yellow stripes on the brim, carrying a black backpack.

Security camera images have been released.

Public Safety Alert, Suspicious Incident

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two suspicious incidents that occurred on Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the Bloor Street West and Runnymede Road area.

It is reported that:

- a girl was in the Bloor Street West and Runnymede Road area at 11:30 a.m.

- a man driving a car approached the girl

- the man offered the girl a beverage

- the girl left the area and notified an adult

- at 1:15 p.m., another girl was jogging on Runnymede Road

- a car pulled up beside the girl, pacing her as she ran

- the girl was able to run away

At this time, no criminal offence is alleged to have been committed, however, investigators would like to make the public aware and identify the man driving the vehicle.

The vehicle involved in both occurrences is described as a dark blue, 4-door car.

The driver is described as male, 20-30 years old, with brown shoulder length hair. He was wearing a red hoodie, and had a black face mask.

Police are reminding the public to remain vigilant of suspicious vehicles in their neighbourhoods and report anything suspicious to police.

Jean Paul Napier, 78, was last seen on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 4:45 p.m., in the Bathurst Street and Dundas Street West area.

He is described as 5'6", 180lbs, with a medium build, short grey hair, and grey facial hair.

He was wearing a black toque, grey t-shirt, blue sweater, and grey pants.

He uses a black walker with a basket, and had a cane in the basket.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Shem Mario Honore, 27, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Possession of Firearm
2. Point Firearm
3. Uttering Threats

He was last seen on Monday, May 3, 2021, in the Caledonia Road and Rogers Road area.

He is described as 6'1", 165 lbs., with brown eyes and braided black hair. His photograph has been released.

Sexual Assault Alert, Queen Street East and Jones Avenue area, Munish Puri, 35, arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, May 1, 2021, a woman was on a TTC streetcar on Queen Street East

- a man approached the woman and attempted to speak with her

- the man was not known to the woman

- the woman got off the streetcar in the Queen Street East and Jones Avenue area

- the man followed the woman for a length of time

- the man caught up to the woman and grabbed her arm

- the man sexually assaulted the woman

- the woman was able to get away and ran into a nearby business where police were contacted

On Sunday, May 2, 2021, police located and arrested the man.

Munish Puri, 35, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1. Harassment by repeatedly following another person

2. Sexual Assault

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. in room 111.

Two men arrested in series of bank robberies, Downtown Toronto and East York areas, Update, Man arrested and men wanted

The Toronto Police Service’s Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of another arrest in relation to a bank robbery investigation.

On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, a news release was issued regarding two arrests.

Between Monday, April 19, 2021 and Thursday, April 22, 2021, four bank robberies were committed in the downtown Toronto and East York areas.

It is alleged that:

- in each robbery, several men travelled in a vehicle to the bank

- one of the men entered the bank while the others waited nearby acting as lookouts

- the man inside the bank approached the teller and said he had a gun and made a demand for cash

- the man took cash before fleeing the scene in the vehicle with the other men

Members of the Hold Up Squad started an investigation and were able to identify the men.

It is further alleged that:

- the Hold Up Squad conducted a search warrant and located a quantity of cash stolen during the robbery and some clothing worn by the men during the robbery

Two men were arrested on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

On Sunday, May 2, 2021, Jesse Pelletier, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

1. three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
3. six counts of Fail to Comply Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court virtually at College Park Court, on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., room 507.


Keith Kellman, 33, of no fixed address, is wanted for:

1. four counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. four counts of Disguise with Intent
3. three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
4. twelve counts of Fail to Comply Probation

He is described as 5’7” and 150 lbs. His photograph has been released.

He is considered dangerous. If seen, do not approach and call 9-1-1.

Break and Enter Investigations, Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with several break and enter investigations.

Between the dates of Saturday May 1, 2021 at 10 p.m., and Sunday May 2, 2021, at 7:19 a.m., police received reports of four break and enters in the Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West area.

It was reported that:

- four businesses were broken into

- once inside, the suspect or suspects targeted the cash register

- they then fled the area

Investigators are reviewing video surveillance and forensic evidence collected from the scenes to identify the suspects and establish whether all the incidents are linked.

He was wearing a grey jacket, black jeans and white Nike shoes.

Shooting Investigation, Highway 401 and Meadowvale Road area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in a shooting investigation.

On Monday, May 3, 2021, at 8:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the Highway 401 and Meadowvale Road area.

It is reported that:

- a vehicle - believed to be a blue Chevrolet sedan - was in the westbound express lanes of Highway 401

- the driver of the blue sedan pulled up to the passenger side of another vehicle and fired a shot through the front passenger window

- no one was injured as a result of the shooting

Anyone who was in the area at the time, and has dash cam footage, is asked to contact investigators.

Joe Da Silva, 46, was last seen on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 6 p.m., in the Kipling Subway Station area. He is very familiar with the TTC system and often frequents Kipling and Islington subway stations.

He is described as 6'4", heavy build, and bald.

There is no clothing description available at this time.

Personal Injury Collision #09/2021, Spadina Avenue and Nassau Street area

The Toronto Police Service is appealing for information following a collision where a woman was seriously injured.

On Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:42 p.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision between a pedestrian and a TTC streetcar in the Spadina Avenue and Nassau Street area.

It is reported that:

- a northbound TTC streetcar struck a 38-year-old female pedestrian

- the woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Traffic Services is investigating the collision and are urging local residents, businesses, and drivers - who may have witnessed the collision or have footage of the incident - to contact investigators.
