This year the Toronto Police Service will be broadcasting live-to-air courtesy of G98.7FM between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.. The Caribbean Carnival Toronto Kick-off Ceremonies will be held in the lobby of police headquarters, Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 10:55 a.m. This will be a day of music, costumes, fun and interaction between police and the community.
Participating in the ceremony will be Dr. Alok Mukherjee, Chair of the Toronto Police Services Board; Chief William Blair; Toronto Raptors Ambassador Jamaal Maglorie; the hosts of the TV show Caribbean Vibrations; other special guests and community members.
The event will feature the unveiling of the Toronto Police Float, costumes and cultural entertainment by Earl La Pierre Extraordinary Steel Panist (ESP), Socacize Fitness Inc, Elaine LilBit Shepherd, a Juno Reggae Recording Artist Award Recipient, and Recording Artist Belinda Brady who will be singing the National Anthem.
