The 25th Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival will be held on Queen Street East from Thursday, July 25, 2013 to Saturday, July 27, 2013. The Jazz Festival will take place each night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Queen Street East will be closed in both directions, from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue between 6 p.m. and midnight. TTC streetcars will be diverted off Queen Street East during these road closures. Modified TTC bus service will be maintained on Woodbine Avenue and on Main Street.
During road closures, residents may access/exit their homes at the following locations:
Residents living: may access/exit via:
- south of Queen Street East from Balsam Avenue to Lee Avenue
- north and south on Lee Avenue
- south on Wineva Avenue
- south of Queen Street East from Waverley Road to Kippendavie Avenue - south on Waverley Road (only from Norway Avenue or Kingston Road)
Exit via Kew Beach Avenue at Woodbine Avenue
NOTE: Kenilworth Avenue, Kippendavie Avenue, Hambley Avenue, Hartford Avenue and Herbert Avenue will be changed to two-way streets during the event.
Vehicles in the area may experience traffic delays due to this event. This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
