On Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 8:57 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a Mischief at an apartment building in the Beecroft Road and Ellerslie Avenue area.
It is reported that:
- several residents of the building had notes attached to their doors
- these notes contained racial comments toward the residents
- the mezuzah (a Jewish religious symbol) was taken off several doors
It is being investigated as a Hate Bias crime.
