Assistance sought identifying man in Sexual Assault investigation, Security camera image of man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance identifying a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at 11:40 a.m., a woman was on a TTC subway train, heading southbound, from Sheppard subway station to Union Subway station

- a man seated beside her sexually assaulted her

- when the woman stood up and attempted to confront the man, he fled, exiting the subway train at Union subway station

The man is described as 5’7", 170 lbs., 40-50. He was wearing a black jacket, black sweater, and tan pants.

A security camera image of the man has been released.
