Man arrested in Sexual Assault Investigation, Martin Oliver, 41, faces six charges

The Toronto Police Service is informing the public of an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- between Wednesday, January 11, 2017 and Thursday, January 12, 2017, a 38-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man whom she met in the Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street East area

- the woman was taken to the Danforth Road and Birchmount Road area in a black SUV

- the woman was sexually assaulted, forcibly confined and threatened

On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, Martin Oliver, 41, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Threatening Death
4) Assault
5) Possession of a Weapon
6) Escape Lawful Custody

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 10 a.m.
