The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017, officers started an investigation into reports of Criminal Harassment in the Denbigh Crescent and Keele Street area.
It is alleged that:
- on three separate dates in 2016/2017, an 11-year-old girl was approached by a man
- he initiated conversations of a sexual nature with her
- the girl felt unsafe and fled from him
On Thursday, January 26, 2017, Jamiel Morley, 25, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Criminal Harassment
2) Invitation to Sexual Touching
3) Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 16
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, January 27, 2017, 10 a.m., room 306.
Police are concerned there may be other victims.
