Assistance sought identifying man wanted in two bank robberies, Eglinton Avenue East/Laird Drive area, Security camera image now available

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an investigation into two bank robberies.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at 2:45 p.m., a man entered a bank in the Eglinton Avenue East/Laird Drive area

- disguised with a black wavy wig, dark sunglasses, and a baseball cap, he produced a hold-up note to the teller, indicating he was armed with a gun

- after obtaining money, he fled eastbound on Eglinton Avenue East, discarding an Exco Jeans jacket

It is further reported that:

- on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 7:10 p.m., the same man entered another bank in the same area

- disguised with a hat, hooded jacket and dark sunglasses, he again produced a hold-up note to the teller, indicating he was armed with a gun

- after obtaining money, he fled

The man is described as 5’9" - 6’, medium build. A security camera image is now available.
