On Friday, February 3, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., in the media gallery at headquarters, Homicide Detective Jeff Tavares will update the media on the investigation into Homicide #65/2016.
On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police responded to 260 Markham Road for the sound of gunshots.
Once on scene, police located two males and a female, all with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where one of the males succumbed to his injuries. The female and the other male were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a man with a light complexion, approximately 20, wearing dark clothing.
The deceased has been identified as Yusef Hagi Ahmed, 27, of Toronto.
