Man wanted for firearm-related offences, Jahwayne Genisis Smart, 21, Photograph of man released

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, the Toronto Police Service Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant in the Westmount Avenue and Rosecliffe Avenue area.

It is alleged that the execution of the warrant led to the seizure of:

- a loaded Glock 9 mm handgun
- 10 grams of cocaine
- over $15,000 in Canadian currency

Jahwayne Genisis Smart, 21, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
4) Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
5) Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
6) Possession of a prohibited device
7) Careless storage of a firearm
8) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine CDSA 5(2)
9) Possession of Proceeds of Crime C.C. 354(1)

He is described as 5'10", 130 lbs. Investigators believe that he currently has injuries consistent with severe frostbite.

His photograph has been released.
