The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying a man wanted in a Robbery investigation.
On Friday, January 20, 2017, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a 55-year-old man was walking in the Bayview Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area.
It is reported that:
- he was approached from behind by a man
- he was assaulted and lost consciousness
- he received injuries and was hospitalized
- his wallet was stolen
Investigators believe that the 55-year-old man was followed by the suspect, through sections of Bayview Village Shopping Centre, prior to the attack.
Due to the significant violence used, and the predatory nature of the suspect, police are concerned for the safety of the public until this suspect is apprehended.
