Man, 26, faces seven charges in investigation into dangerous operation and refuse breath sample, Hwy. 404 and Finch Avenue East area

On Friday, December 2, 2016, at 3:15 a.m., a 33 Division Traffic Enforcement officer was conducting speed enforcement in the Hwy. 404 and Finch Avenue East area.

It is alleged that:

- a man was operating a Porsche motor vehicle in excess of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit

- he failed to stop his vehicle immediately and tried to evade police

- when stopped, he refused to provide a sample of his breath

On Friday, December 2, 2016 Tianhao Wu, 26, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Speeding 172 km/h in a 100 km/h zone
2) Stunt Driving
3) Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
4) Fail to Stop for Police
5) Refuse to Provide Breath Sample
6) Drive Under Suspension
7) Fail to Comply with Probation

In addition, his motor vehicle was impounded.

The Toronto Police Service wants to remind the public that, as with any time of year, proactive traffic enforcement is a Service priority. There is zero tolerance for alcohol- and drug-related driving offences.
