The North York Winter Maintenance By-law prohibits parking on streets in the former City of North York between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., from December 1 up to, and including, March 31 of the following year, unless signs are posted indicating an exemption. This bylaw ensures the city can completely clear streets of snow, and that large emergency vehicles can have free vehicular flow.
The Parking Enforcement Unit will begin enforcement of this bylaw on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 2 a.m., providing the public with a two-day grace period. In the event that it snows prior to Saturday, December 3, 2016, enforcement may start earlier.
On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, a news release was posted outlining specific streets. See previous news release.
The list of streets was not complete. This news release replaces that release. Posted signs will be visible on streets with exemptions.
