The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police has asked us to post the following:
On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., at Woodbine Hotel & Suites, 30 Vice Regent Blvd., south entrance, Ontario’s police leaders and the Chief Coroner for Ontario will provide an update today on the growing public-safety threat related to opioid-related deaths in the province believed to have been caused, directly or indirectly, by the illegal acquisition, distribution, use, and misuse of the prescription pain medication Fentanyl.
The media conference will be held at the start of a two-day symposium on November 30 and December 1 for more than 450 police officers and border security personnel. The symposium, which will train law enforcement and other security personnel on the health and public safety challenges posed by Fentanyl, has been organized by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) Substance Abuse Committee.
