The Toronto Police Service would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2013 Pixels for Pistols gun amnesty by either surrendering firearms or helping the Service promote the initiative through social/mainstream media.

Over the past four weeks, our officers have collected hundreds of unwanted firearms from residents throughout the City of Toronto.

On Friday, July 12, 2013, Chief William Blair announced that 485 firearms and more than 22,000 rounds of ammunition have been surrendered for destruction.

The 2013 gun amnesty and the 2008 amnesty, combined, have seen just under 2,400 firearms and over 70,000 rounds of ammunition removed from our community.
