The Toronto Police Service is dedicated to the elimination of impaired driving on our roads. The Toronto Police Service will be launching the 2016 RIDE Checks at Humber College, 205 Humber College Boulevard, North Campus, on Thursday, November 24, 2016. This event will begin at 11 a.m. in the Humber Learning Resource Commons, Main Floor.
This event will be launched in partnership with the following road-safety partners:

Impaired driving statistics in Toronto as of Monday, November 21, 2016:
• 1,214 drivers have been charged with impaired-driving-related offences
• 79 drivers have been charged with impaired-by-drug offences
• 6 of the 71 fatal collisions on Toronto roads involved drivers who were impaired while
operating a motor vehicle
The Toronto Police Service would like to remind everyone who drives a vehicle to be
responsible, plan ahead and make smart choices about your transportation. The use of transit, designated drivers and taxi services, are all excellent options for safe transportation.
The Toronto Police Service is also encouraging citizens to assist police in the war against impaired driving by calling 9−1−1 if they believe another driver may be impaired.
The message is clear: DO NOT DRINK OR USE DRUGS AND DRIVE.
