The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- a man operates a convenience store in the Royal York Road and Mimico Avenue area
- he befriended a 13-year-old boy who would frequently spend time at his store
- the man sexually assaulted the boy while he was at the store
On Monday, November 21, 2016, Habibullah Prodhan, 49, also known as Habib, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Interference
He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, 10 a.m., courtroom 206.
Habibullah Prodhan, 49, also known as Habib, may have had access to other children and young people.
