The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a series of daytime residential break-and-enters in the west end of Toronto.
It is reported that:
- since the beginning of July, there has been an increase in break-and-enters into a number of homes while residents were gardening in their back yards
- the suspects entered through the side door of the homes on the main floor
- the suspects have been targeting the Keele Street and Maple Leaf Drive area
- the victims are elderly and predominantly Italian
- the suspects are targeting cash, wallets/purses and jewellery
