The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an investigation into a break-and-enter in the west end of Toronto.
It is reported that:
- in the early morning of Saturday, July 6, 2013 a suspect broke into a grocery store in the Keele Street/Maple Leaf Drive area
- the suspect gained entry by smashing a window
- the suspect removed a quantity of cash
The suspect is described as white, 5'9"-6', 180-200 lbs., lanky build with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark nylon sports jacket with blue or purple "M" symbol with writing on back and left breast, dark pants and white running shoes. He also had a watch on his left wrist.
Police would like to remind the public of the following:
- report any suspicious behavior to police, especially people looking in parked cars or lurking around commercial or residential buildings
- ensure business alarm systems are activated after business hours
- ensure doors are properly locked after business hours
