The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a drug investigation.
During October 2016, an investigation began into Restaurant 27 Take Out And Catering, at 971 O'Connor Drive.
On Tuesday, October 26, 2016, a search warrant was executed.
It is alleged that the following was seized:
1) Marijuana
2) Cocaine
3) Crack Cocaine
4) Oxycodone pills
5) Percocet pills
6) Lorazapam pills
7) Morphine
A second search warrant was executed at the restaurant owner's home.
It is further alleged that the following was seized:
- $9005
Sathiyavarathan Varatharajah, 47, of Jackson's Point, Ontario, has been charged with:
1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance
2) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
3) Possession of a Schedule II Substance
4) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
5) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, 10 a.m., courtroom 103.
