On Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 8:30 a.m., at the Toronto Police College, located at 70 Birmingham Street, Chief Mark Saunders, Staff Superintendent Peter Yuen and members of the Divisional Policing Support Unit, led by Inspector David Rydzik, will be welcoming students to opening day of the Community Police Academy.
Students will pick up their orientation packages from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. before listening to brief remarks. Classes, starting with an Introduction to the Toronto Police Service, will start at 9 a.m.
Members of the media are invited to attend from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
