Police request assistance with stabbing investigation and fail-to-remain collision, Bathurst Street/Queen Street West

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with an investigation into a stabbing that occurred on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 3:30 a.m., in the Queen Street West/Spadina Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a large group of males were observed fighting on Queen Street West, just west of Spadina Avenue

- various weapons were used, including a hammer

- one of the males was stabbed in the torso and suffered non-life-threatening injuries

- a dark-coloured vehicle, fleeing the area at the time of the stabbing, struck two pedestrians and a parked vehicle as it drove eastbound on Queen Street West towards Spadina Avenue

This vehicle is described as a black or dark-colored sedan, similar to a Honda Civic or Accord.

Police are looking for witnesses to the stabbing or collision to come forward.
