On Saturday, June 8, 2013, between noon and 5 p.m., at Burrows Hall Community Centre, 1081 Progress Avenue, 42 Division will be hosting its 16th Annual Police Community Picnic.
This event aims to create a comfortable and entertaining venue in which the police and members of the community can socialize and interact with the ultimate goal of learning more about each other and community policing.
The Picnic is hosted by the 42 Division Community Police Liaison Committees. These groups organize community walks, crime prevention seminars, and financially support local community organizations.
