On Saturday, June 8, 2013 and Sunday, June 9, 2013, Enbridge will be hosting the Ride to Conquer Cancer event. Participants will be cycling from Toronto to Niagara Falls and from Niagara Falls to Toronto. This event will take place over two days with a smaller group of riders arriving in Toronto on the second day.
The ride will start and finish at Ontario Place, 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West. All riders follow the same route, outbound, and split at The Queensway and The West Mall. The 200-Km route riders continue westbound into Peel Region where Peel Regional Police take over. The 200 mile route riders will ride northbound on The West Mall from The Queensway, to Burnhamthorpe Road and westbound to Mill Street where Peel Regional Police will take over the route.
On Sunday, June 9, 2013, the second day of the event, riders will arrive in Toronto via Lake Shore Boulevard West at 40th Street (between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., for the elite group of riders). The route for the return leg of the event will be eastbound in the south curb lane of Lake Shore Boulevard West, southbound on Remembrance Drive, to the finish line at Ontario Place.
It is expected that all riders will arrive at the finish line between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
