On Wednesday, June 5, 2013, police arrested a man in connection with a series of retail robberies in the west end of Toronto.
It is alleged that:
- between May 19, 2013 and June 1, 2013, the man attended five convenience stores, in the Bloor Street West/Dufferin Street area
- he approached the attendant and made a verbal demand for money and on three occasions he produced a large butcher style knife
Damon Shahidi, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) five counts of Robbery
2) three counts of Disguise with Intent
3) three counts of Weapons Dangerous
4) Possession of Cocaine
He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 10 a.m.
