Police request assistance with robbery investigation, Photograph of the victim's jacket and bicycle released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a robbery investigation.

It is alleged that:

− on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 9:45 p.m., a pre-school-aged child was riding her bicycle, in a parking lot, in the Queen Street West/Spadina Avenue area

- the child was in the company of a female caregiver

- a man approached the child, shoved her off the bike and took it from her

- he also took her jacket, one of her shoes and left the area.

Trong Le, 38, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, room 101, at 10 a.m.

The child and the caregiver left the area prior to speaking with police. Police are requesting the public’s assistance with help identifying them.

They are described as:

1) Caregiver, Asian, 30 with short hair. She was last seen wearing a skirt.

2) Child, Asian, 4-6. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, riding a small white bicycle with bright orange rims.
