The Toronto Police Service's Aboriginal Peacekeeping Unit, in partnership with the Aboriginal Consultative Committee, will be hosting the National Aboriginal Month celebration at Central Technical School, 725 Bathurst Street, on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 11 a.m.
Chief William Blair, Police Services Board Chair Alok Mukherjee and community elders will celebrate with community members. The event will feature grand entry, round dance and traditional drumming and singing provided by the Drums from Eastview Junior Public School and First Nations School of Toronto, Toronto Council Fire and Native Womens Resource Centre. This year the event will take place outdoors weather permitting.
