Police request assistance with stabbing investigation, 71 Thorncliffe Park Drive, One man arrested and two other men to be identified

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a stabbing investigation.

It is alleged that:

- in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 20, 2016, a 48-year-old man was stabbed in an apartment at 71 Thorncliffe Park Drive.

- he suffered life-threatening injuries

On Wednesday, February 24, 2016, members of 53 Division executed a search warrant and arrested Maverick Lavina, 26, of Toronto. He was charged with:

1) Attempted Murder

2) Aggravated Assault

3) Forcible Confinement

4) Possession of a Weapon

He appeared in court at College Park on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, 10 a.m., room 501.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying the two other men who were involved and were with Maverick Lavina at the time of the alleged stabbing. They are described as:

1) Southeast Asian, light complexion, approximately 23 years old, shorter than 5'6", with visible acne around the mouth. He was wearing a toque or a hat and he was armed with a handgun

2) Black, 18 years old, and 5'9" to 6'.
