Police would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a bank robbery investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in the Sheppard Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue area, a man entered a bank
- the man disguised his face with either a face mask or scarf
- the man passed the teller a note, stating it was a robbery and demanded money
- the man was given a quantity of money, which he placed in a bag
- the man then fled the area
It is further alleged that:
- on Thursday, January 21, 2016, in the Fairview Mall , a man entered a bank
- the man disguised his face with either a face mask or scarf
- the man passed the teller a note, stating it was a robbery and demanded money
- the man was given a quantity of money, which he placed in a bag
- the man then fled the area
On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, Hold Up officers arrested Blake Huntington, 32, of Toronto. He is charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
2) two counts of Disguise with Intent
3) three counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
4) Careless Storage of Ammunition
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
