Police seek assistance with Sexual Assault Investigation, Ryerson Avenue and Queen Street West area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:55 p.m., a woman, 25, was walking in the Ryerson Avenue and Queen Street West area

- a man grabbed the woman from behind and forced her into the Linda Griffith Laneway

- the suspect knocked the woman to the ground and sexually assaulted her

- the assault was interrupted by a passer-by

- the suspect fled the scene, westbound

The suspect is described as white, 30-40, 5'11", chubby build, approximately 250 lbs., with short ,wavy black-or-dark-brown hair, unshaven, with a large nose, wearing a dark, hooded sweater, dark-gray track pants and dark shoes.

Police are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the assault to contact police.
