Man arrested in Child-Pornography investigation, George Dasilva, 48, faces 14 charges

On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, members of the Sex Crimes Unit, Child Exploitation Section, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Yonge Street/Carlton Street area.

It is alleged that:

- an online undercover investigation revealed the accused was in possession of child pornography and sharing it on the internet

George DaSilva, 48, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Possession Child Pornography
2) Five counts of Make Available Child Pornography
3) Accessing Child Pornography
4) Three counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance
5) Two counts of Possession for the purpose controlled substance schedule I
6) Proceeds of Crime

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, May 23, 2013, courtroom 101, at 10 a.m.
