The Toronto Police Service is requesting the publics assistance with a fraud investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, a man approached a person in the Queen Street West/Bathurst Street area and claimed he was a police dispatcher
- the man did not produce any police identification and claimed to collecting money for sponsorship for a police magazine
- the man provided false information regarding the police magazine
The man is described as white, 30-35, medium build, long brown hair and a beard.
