The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of arrests in a Firearms investigation and seizures of guns, drugs and cash.
It is alleged that:
- on Monday, November 9, 2015, a man was stopped for an unrelated matter
- he was subsequently investigated and a firearm was found on the man
- as a result, search warrants were executed on a Toronto address.
It is further alleged that the following items were seized:
- a loaded Glock .22 semi-automatic handgun
- a 12 gauge shotgun
- a ballistic bulletproof vest
- two firearm magazines containing ammunition (over capacity)
- two firearm magazines containing ammunition
- numerous rounds of ammunition of various types (.22, .40 and .45 calibre, 9 mm, 12 gauge)
- a quantity of powered cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, morphine, MDMA and ketamine
- a quantity of cash (proceeds of crime)
Matthew Reay, 33 of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) two counts of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
2) two counts of Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
3) two counts of Possession of Firearm Obtained by Crime
4) Carry Firearm in Careless Manner
5) two counts of Possess Loaded Prohibited Firearm
6) two counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
7) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
8) two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II Substance
9) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance
10) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
11) Store Firearm in Careless Manner
12) three counts of Possession of a Prohibited Device (over-capacity magazine)
13) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
14) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Heroin)
15) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
16) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Marijuana)
17) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (grams MDMA)
18) Possession of Proceeds of Crime (Canadian currency)
19) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Morphine)

21) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crack Cocaine)
22) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Heroin)
23) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Adderall)
Lindsay McVey, 31, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) three counts of Possession Prohibited Device (over-capacity magazine)
2) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
3) two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Heroin)
4) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal
Methamphetamine)
5) Possession Purpose of Trafficking (Marijuana)
6) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (MDMA)
7) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Morphine)
8) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Ketamine)
9) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crack Cocaine)
10) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Adderall)
11) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
They both appeared in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 10 a.m.
