On Thursday, May 10, 2012, just before 3 p.m., police responded to several reports of a shooting at 4020 Dundas Street West.
Officers responded and located a 27-year-old man, on the ground in the laneway of 4020 Dundas Street West, suffering from obvious gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital via emergency run, however succumbed to his injuries at hospital a short time later.

Investigators allege that Delano Coombs was lured to 4020 Dundas Street West by people who most likely knew him.
It is further alleged that:
- Delano Coombs was ambushed while in his vehicle and then shot to death
- there were multiple suspects involved and multiple firearms used in this homicide
- police have located a sweatshirt worn by one of the suspects with an "STG Entertainment" logo on it
- DNA has been collected, however, there is no DNA for this offender in the national databank at this time
A suspect description has been released:
- male, black, approximately 20, 5'10", with a slim build. In May 2012, this male was wearing his hair in a braided style.
