On Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 6 p.m., at the Liberty Grand, Exhibition Place, Chief Mark Saunders, with Master of Ceremonies Jennifer Keesmaat, the Chief Planner for the City of Toronto, will hold his first Chief’s Gala in support of Victim Services Toronto. This is a sold-out event that will have more than 700 guests in attendance.
Proceeds from this event support an organization that is highly valued, respected and essential. This evening is an important community event and a celebration of a vitally important and unique partnership between the Toronto Police Service and Victim Services Toronto.
Victim Services Toronto restores, rebuilds and enhances the quality of life of those affected by serious crime and sudden tragedies. They are the only agency in Toronto providing immediate on-site support to victims of crime and sudden tragedies. They offer invaluable programs and services, helping close to 20,000 victims annually.
The Chief’s Gala takes place, annually, in November. The 700+ guests includes police chiefs and senior police leaders from across the province, members from all levels of government, and people from the city's business community. In 2014, $233 000 was raised at the Chief’s Gala.
