The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a home invasion investigation:
It is alleged that:
- on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, a man and a woman forcefully entered a home on Harbord Street.
- the man and the woman threatened the occupants of the home with a knife
- two of the occupants suffered minor injuries
- the man and the woman took the homeowner's wallet and fled
- a credit card from the wallet was later used to make purchases at a sporting goods store
On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, Hold Up issued a news release asking for the public's assistance. A Canada Wide Warrant was put out for the woman involved.
On Friday, October 23, 2015, the woman surrendered to police. Jennifer Mulumba, 29, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) two counts of Robbery
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Possession of Property obtained by Crime
She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Friday, October 23, 2015, courtroom 507.
