The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with an investigation into the theft of two tractor-trailers and is urging anyone who is approached to purchase the contents of the trailers to call police.
It is reported that:
- on Tuesday March 5, 2013, at approximately 12:50 a.m., two white tractor-trailers were stolen from the Weston Road/Finch Avenue West area
- the trailers contained cases of whole frozen chickens valued at over $86,000.
- the chickens were packaged in brown cardboard boxes with holes on two sides, with "Tray Packed Whole Fryer" printed on the side, and a white label describing the contents
