On Saturday, May 11, 2013, just after midnight, police received a call for a shooting at Yorkdale Mall, 3401 Dufferin Street.
Officers located a man in Joey Yorkdale, a restaurant at Yorkdale Mall, suffering from obvious gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is reported that:
- the victim was seated in the restaurant when the suspect(s) approached the restaurant from the outside and fired through the window into the restaurant, striking the victim
- the suspect(s) were last seen eastbound on Yorkdale Service Road towards
Allen Road, in a current-model silver Honda CRV
Two suspects have been described as:
#1. male, 5'10"to 6', medium build, wearing a jacket with the top half black and the bottom half red, black pants
#2. male, 5'10" to 6', medium build, wearing grey hoodie and light-coloured pants
