On Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Kingston Road east of Valmount Avenue .
It is reported that:
- a 34-year-old man was driving a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle, eastbound on Kingston Road, east of Valmount Avenue
- a 68-year-old man was driving a 2008 Pontiac Montana, westbound on Kingston Road east of Valmount Avenue, attempting to make a left turn to a private business on the south side of Kingston Road
- as the van attempted to make the left turn, the motorcycle struck the right side of the van and subsequently went out of control, striking a second vehicle which was also westbound on Kingston Road
- the driver of the Pontiac failed to remain at the scene of the collision
- the 34-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene
- the driver and occupant of the third vehicle were not injured.
The driver of the van was arrested and the vehicle located. Following subsequent investigation, he has been released and the investigation is continuing.
