Three men face charges in INKAS armed robbery investigation, Photographs of seized property released

On April 30, 2013, a news release was issued requesting the public's assistance with a security services company robbery investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, April 14, 2013, in the early-morning hours, the INKAS Security Services Company was robbed by two men

See previous release.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, a series of 12 search warrants were executed in both Toronto and Peel Region, in homes and vehicles.

Three people have been arrested and charged:

Cecil Stewart, 27, of Brampton, is charged with:

1. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
2. Robbery While Armed with a Firearm
3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (over)
4. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
5. two counts of Possession for the Purpose Marihuana (over)
6. Possession for the Purpose Heroin
7. Possession for the Purpose Controlled Substance

Aundre Hartwell, 29, of Brampton, is charged with:

1. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
2. Robbery While Armed with a Firearm
3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (over)
4. Possession of Proceeds of Crime

Devon Hartwell, 27, of Brampton, is charged with:

1. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
2. Robbery While Armed with a Firearm
3. Disguise with Intent
4. Forcible Confinement
5. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (over)
6. Possession of Proceeds of Crime


It is alleged that:

- four men conspired to commit a robbery at INKAS

- three men drove to the location of the security facility

- two men disguised themseves, one armed with a gun, and robbed an employee

- a third man waited outside with a get-away car

- a large quantity of cash was stolen

- the two men then got back into the waiting car where all three men drove off

The accused are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, room 101, 10 a.m.

As a result of the search warrants, it is alleged that:

- a large quantity of cash, three motorcycles and two motor vehicles, furniture and appliances were seized

- a quantity of drugs was also seized

Investigation is ongoing. One man remains outstanding.
