On Sunday, June 14, 2015, the Toronto Community Services Department will host the 23rd annual "Toronto Challenge Run." This is both a 1-km walk, and a 5-km walk/run. Event organizers are expecting approximately 3,500 participants.
Participants will assemble on Wellington Street West, east of John Street, and will depart at 9:30 a.m. along the following route:
Formation area: Wellington Street West (John Street to Simcoe Street)
- eastbound Wellington Street West
- northbound University Avenue
- northbound Queen’s Park Crescent East
- eastbound Wellesley Street West
- southbound Bay Street
- westbound Wellington Street West
Dispersal area: Wellington Street West, west of University Ave
Drivers in the area may experience traffic delays due to this event and are advised to consider alternative routes.
Roads are expected to be fully reopened by 11 a.m.
This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
