On Sunday, May 5, 2013, the 14th Annual Ontario Police Memorial Ceremony of Remembrance will be held at Queens Park. Thousands of officers from across Ontario are expected to attend this event, which honours those who paid the ultimate price for their dedication to duty.
The following road closures will be in place at 8 a.m. Roads are expected to be fully reopened by 2 p.m.:
- Queens Park Crescent: Bloor Street West to College Street
- Hoskins Avenue: St. George Street to Queen's Park Crescent
- Wellesley Street West: Bay Street to Queen's Park Crescent
The Ontario Police Memorial will begin at 10 a.m., and will take place regardless of weather conditions.
Motorists can expect traffic delays in the area of Queen's Park Circle during this event.
The TTC is recommended for those attending the ceremony.
